E. Lee Webster, BS, MSW, LCSW, BCD, Founder of CHD

  • Forty years of professional and personal life experience have prepared Lee to provide competent, values based counseling for most adult problems. His caring, insightful interventions have helped hundreds of individuals and couples achieve their goals in therapy. Lee believes in a holistic approach to counseling aimed at reaching optimum functioning in one's emotional, social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual health.
  • Lee and his wife Started the Center and have enjoyed the blessings of married life recently clebarating 50 years of marriage.  They have 3 children, and 14 grandchildren who are the source of his passion for helping others. Lee enjoys writing, public speaking, relaxing on the river, and playing golf.

 

 

 

Barbara M. Webster, BS, MS, LCSW, Co-Founder of CHD

  • Co-founder of the Center Barb has years of professional teaching and counseling experience, Barb has developed a wide variety of skills, including use of EMDR and Mediation. She maintains a warm, positive relationship with her clients; individual adults, couples, families, younger children and teens. Barb especially enjoys working with parenting issues, marital problems and spiritual concerns. Her faith is evident in the value system from which she counsels.
  • Barb has been married for over 50 years, has 3 children, and 14 grandchildren. Her grandchildren are a delight to her and love exploring the farm and helping in grandma's garden.  She describes experiencing real joy when she witnesses the healing from the hurt in the lives of her clients.

 

 

 

 

Erin E. Morgan, BS, MS, LCSW

  • Erin enjoys working with individuals in a wide variety of areas including depression, anxiety, parenting, and communication skills. Of particular interest to Erin is supporting individuals who struggle with a hurtful or abusive past, and the pain that can negatively impact the present. She welcomes incorporating a person's faith into his or her counseling, and sees this as a beneficial component in therapy.
  • Erin has a passion for life to grow and learn from trials and drink deeply of the joy of good times, to never stay stagnant, and to mature in her faith.

 

 

 

 

Greg J. Turinetti, BS, MSMFT, LMFT, M.DIV

  • Greg J. Turinetti
  • Greg works with individuals, couples, and families including adolescents and children 4 years old and older. He has experience working with spiritual issues, the criminal justice system, providing group and individual therapy, and doing court ordered mediations. Greg served as Pastor in congregations in Wisconsin for 11 years. He is a Solutions Focused Therapist, trained in Family Systems Theory and Brief Therapy. Greg desires to help clients achieve a comfortable balance with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
  • Greg and his wife have been married since 1982 and they have two children. His family has lived in Wausau since 1989 and is active in their church and the community.

 

 

 

Stephanie Hamann, BS, MA, NCC, LPC

  • Stephanie loves to work with people when things are not going well. She works with many people who have experienced abuse, depression, divorce, grief, anxiety, spiritual concerns, and eating disorders. She works with young children, adolescents and adults either alone or in groups. Stephanie would like to see her clients discover greater health for themselves, and then develop joy.
  • Stephanie is a lifelong resident of Central Wisconsin, who enjoys traveling---lots of times on missions trips, laughter, and enjoying her many "adopted" nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

 

 

Michele Rasmussen, BA, MA, LPC

  • Michele Rasmussen
  • Michele has worked for twelve years as an inpatient and outpatient therapist, helping people find hope and healing within shattered situations. Michele believes spiritual renewal and healing are integral parts of the psychological healing process, and uses a variety of treatment modalities that includes EMDR. Michele works with people who have been devastated by traumatic events such as sexual assault, violence, and abuse. Problematic family and step-family issues, as well as broken relationships are also of special interest to her. Michele, a Wisconsin native, is married to Wade and is the proud mother of Amanda, Max, and Gunnar.  Michele has recently moved her practice from Wausau to Stevens Point and is accepting new clients there. 

 

 

 

 

Dan Buss, MSW, LCSW

  • Dan has over 26 years of experience in social work and counseling, helping people overcome problems in areas of marital and relationship problems, sexual/pornography addictions, gambling addictions, mood disorders, anger management, stress reduction, communication problems, delinquent youth, abortion healing, grief and loss, and many other common problems.   Dan is easy to talk with and has an understanding, compassionate approach towards his clients, recognizing and respecting people for where they are on their journey.   He offers many resources, skills, and techniques to clients, providing help and hope so they can create new, healthy solutions to their problems.
  • Married for over 24 years, Dan is blessed with a supportive wife and 8 children.   Dan enjoys going up North, fishing, and playing board and card games with his competitive kids.   He and his family also enjoy spending time at the zoo and following the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers.

    Suzanne Grim, MA, LMFT 

      
    SuzanneTwenty-five years of professional and personal experience have equipped Suzanne to provide relevant, life changing solutions to the issues of life. Suzanne enjoys working with women, couples, and families.
    She has been married over thirty years to Gerald Grim. Together, they have experienced the joys and struggles of raising six children.
    Suzanne has developed sensitivity to help parents in all stages of life. She is able to help families navigate solutions to many difficult issues. She is experienced working in the following areas: depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, chemical issues, grief, abuse, and eating disorders. Suzanne is blessed with insight, wisdom, and creativity for change.

    • Betty Hinds
    • Betty completed her Masters Degree in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. She counsels with individuals, adult and child, and couples. Having adopted two children, she has a particular interest in working with blended and adoptive families. She also works with women's issues, especially anxiety and depression.
    • Betty has been married for 20 years and has 4 children. She enjoys singing, reading and playing games with her family and friends.

Kristen Vesbach, MS ATR-L, BC, PC

Kristen received her Master’s degree from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. She has extensive professional practice as an art psychotherapist. Her experience includes working in outpatient centers, and in residential settings as a wilderness/experiential therapist. Kristen is also a Professional Counselor who specializes in helping individuals and families work through anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and trauma. She enjoys helping parents find new solutions to behavioral and social issues that children can struggle with. Kristen is compassionate about helping her clients find hope and healing. She enjoys the outdoors, is passionate about the arts, and likes to spend time with her husband, friends, and family.

 

 

 

Michelle Wegner, BBA, MS, PC

Missy is the newest addition to our professional staff.  She has a degree in counseling from Concordia University which she received in 2008.  She completed her degree while working as an academic advisor for Nicolet College and juggling her responsiblities as a "mom".  Her counseling experience has been as a college admissions counselor, Youth Options coordinator, and as a counselor in her local church.  She has a passion for strengthening marriages and family life as well as helping individuals to reach personal goals in life.  She is a compassionate counselor, spouse and mom.  Missy loves nature and along with her husband and family manages a deer farm and guest lodge in Northern Wisconsin.

 

 

 

Nick LaFonte, BS, MS, PC

Nick is a recent graduate of Concordia University with a degree in professional counseling.  He also has a degree in Pastoral Counseling  with experience in pastoral/youth ministry.  In addition he has been employed as a college admissions counselor.  His training also includes certification in utillizing the  Prepare/Enrich couple assessment.  Nick has a passion for encouraging people to live their lives to their greatest potential.  The areas of counseling he is most interested in include family therapy, couples counseling, group work, sexual addiction therapy, grief and loss, parenting, career counseling and individual therapy.  He has been married for 9 years and has two "full of life" little boys.  He enjoys listening to music, playing the drums, Italian food and hiking with his wife.

 

 

Jacki Streveler, MS Ed, MS, PC

Jacki is a warm, caring professional counselor with a passion for helping others navigate life’s difficult moments. With an MS Ed in College Student Development from UW LaCrosse and an MS in Professional Counseling and School Counseling from Concordia University, Jacki has much experience working with people of all ages. She enjoys helping children and adults deal with trauma, attachment, grief and loss, anxiety, anger, depression, post-abortive healing, divorce, and major life changes. Jacki is compassionate and understanding with a natural ability to put others at ease. She believes in utilizing simplicity, spirituality, and creativity in helping individuals build lives that are joyful, rewarding, and balanced. She also has a special love for utilizing play and art therapy techniques with children struggling to deal with the pain and trauma of sexual abuse, family violence, and neglect.

Jacki is blessed with a supportive husband and three beautiful children. She enjoys all types of creative arts, singing with her husband and children at church, and spending time at their family’s cabin.

Tonia Backman, MSW, APSW

Tonia received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University (MSW) and is certified as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW). She has 10 years of professional and personal experience in Social Work and Counseling. This experience includes many years working with the elderly, their caregivers and families; serving as a Social Worker within the Hospice unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, facilitating reconciliation memorial sessions for post-abortive women, and providing counseling services to UWMC College students.

She has compassion for individuals experiencing pain, guilt, shame and hopelessness, and desires to help them discover a renewed hope and strength to assist them along life’s journey. Of special interest to Tonia is working with those struggling in the area of grief, sexual abuse and post-abortion.

Tonia is active in her church and enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Corina Helgestad, MA, PC

Corina enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults, either individually, in couples, or as a family. She grew up in northern Wisconsin and moved back in 2011 after living in St Louis for almost 10 years. During that time she attended Missouri Baptist University and worked for Missouri Social Services in the Department of Youth Services.

Corina is passionate about helping the next generation succeed and gladly helps parents and children navigate behavior management. She has also helped individuals who were victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and rape, as well as those dealing with adoption issues, drug abuse, and suicide. Corina abides by the beliefs that there is always hope and anyone can change. She looks for the best in people and treats every client with respect and dignity.

Corina loves the outdoors and especially enjoys experiencing them with her husband, Barry and her puppy, Murphy. Corina loves to laugh, be creative, and play games. She is passionate about her faith and desires to continue growing as a Christian as long as she lives. Corina is accepting clients at the Tomahawk and Wausau locations.

Dave Tice, MS, LPC

Dave earned his MS in Counselor Education in 1988 from Emporia State University in Kansas, with plans to work as a clinical counselor later in his career. He worked in the University of Wisconsin system for 15 years as a residence hall director, and has also held positions of 4-H and Youth Agent, Youth Coordinator, and Community Resource Development Educator. He then worked for 4 years as an employee assistance program (EAP) counselor.

Dave focuses his counseling efforts in the following areas: anger issues, anxiety, depression, conflict management, couples & marital concerns, crisis & intervention situations, men’s issues, suicide & its effects on others, and team building. Dave builds a rapport quickly with his clients, so they can work together to identify healthy and unhealthy choices and the related consequences of those choices. It is Dave’s hope that the counseling process will empower the client to make appropriate, healthy, and positive choices in their lives. He has extensive experience in public speaking and enjoys making presentations on many of these topics.

Dave is married to Debbie, his bride of 24 years. They have three adult children.

Harlan Hebbe, Administrator / Professional Relations

  • Harlan came to the Center bringing with him over 20 years of Business Administration experience. He also works with individuals and couples, teaching them how to set up personal budgets. He administers the Prepare / Enrich program, which helps pre-married and married couples identify possible strengths and weaknesses in their relationship. Harlan has been involved with various boards dealing with marriage and family relations both in his church and in the community. He has a deep passion for families and the marriage relationship, teaching marriage classes on a regular basis. Harlan enjoys spending time with his wife.(and best friend) of 33 years, his children and grandchildren. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and golf.

 

 

 

Ruth Hebbe, Business Manager / Director of Personnel

She demonstrates compassion for people and high standards of integrity in managing the business operations at the Center. Ruth's passion for the Lord is evident in her desire to promote strong, healthy relationships. She has developed and led numerous women's ministry programs within her church and the community. She cherishes her time shared with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

Lori Kostecki, Appointment Coordinator / Secretary

  • Lori has gained over a decade of experience in customer service excellence. Her dedication to the Center benefits clients through her conscientious and compassionate service to others. She works at our home office in Wausau, so you will typically be speaking with her when you phone or stop in to set an appointment.
  • Lori is nearly a lifelong resident of Wausau and enjoys being involved in church activities, music, writing and editing, as well as biking and water sports. If you are not already acquainted with Lori, please feel welcome to introduce yourself!

 

 

 

 

Vicky Radunz, Administrative Assistant / Insurance Specialist

  • Vicky has a heart and passion for helping others. Her years of dedicated service to the Center, its counseling staff and their clients are evident in all aspects of her work. 30 years of Customer Service experience, broadened with continuing education courses, have given her a varied capacity to assist management with Inter-Office responsibilities. Vicky's sensitive, caring nature combined with her expertise in communication skills, allows her to provide clients with the answers needed regarding Mental Health Benefit.
  • Vicky enjoys singing in her church choir, reading, going for walks and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

 

Chloe

Chloe is our Therapy Dog in Training.  You may experience her enthusastic and affectionate greeting when visiting our office.  She is a precocious  student and has completed her training as a therapy dog as a puppy.  As she learns to temper her energy she is becoming a wonderful addition to our office family.  Chloe especially enjoys being with children (of all ages) and elderly clients and is often invited into counseling sessions.
